We bought a horse with a bad history. We did not know until she arrived from out of state that she was a chronic bucker, and had already hurt several people. We knew about Kari's Master's Degree in Animal Behavior, so we asked her to come out and evaluate the mare. Kari's training and knowledge of equine behavior told her this mare was not at all mean, but had been severely traumatized and was horribly afraid of being ridden. We later sent the horse to Kari, and to our surprise, in a few short weeks she was riding her without incident! Kari's training has made an incredible difference in this horse's attitude and confidence. We were so impressed with Kari's abilities, we sent our young Andalusian stallion to her for training. He loves Kari, and has become a confident driving horse! We would recommend Kari to anyone who has a horse in need of starting or remedial training. She is wonderful. -John and Kris Garrett Grand Prix Andalusians
Kari did a wonderful job of training Callaghan, my BLM mustang. He was obtained from the BLM facility in Canon City, CO in August of 2005, at the young age of four. Callaghan was not yet halter trained when he arrived from the BLM. Kari saddle trained him within a span of two months and I have been riding him ever since she turned him over to me. Callaghan is now a terrific trail horse. Paul Ishikawa, Jr. Moab, UT
Confident, competent and compassionate all describe Kari Crawford and her approach to training. She has an acute awareness of how horses think and react, which is critical to working with wild horses in particular. Through her training of my two year old BLM mustang Curly Sue, I realize how much every horse is unique in personality and temperament and responds differently. If only all mustang adopters had the good fortune of having a trainer like Kari! Ginny McDonald Evergreen, CO
I had a difficult horse that I had imported from Holland. A friend recommended Kari, after other trainers had given up, I called her. With in weeks she was cantering my horse in the pasture which to me was nothing short of a miracle. The horse was standing ground tied, to be saddled and was much more confident and willing. And all this accomplished through loving kind methods. Barbara Attick
When I first met Kari about 4 or 5 years ago, I thought what could this kid know about training horses? Well I could have saved myself a lot of money and myself and my horse lots of stress and heartache. Don't let her size deceive you - good things come in small packages. -Jackie Murphy
Going from strung out to compact. Going from tagging behind to engaging behind. These are two major transitions my horse and I were able to make from the beginning of 2006 to the end of the year. We have improved so much!!! We are now doing "A"-Rated Arabian Shows. This is something I only dreamed my horse and I could do, until we found Kari. She trains my horse, and I take lessons from her. She has substantially helped both my horse and I develop. Each time I have a lesson, I learn many new things that improve my riding. Each time I ride my horse, she has improved as well. Kari covers all the classifications of riding. She has helped both my horse and me with Hunter, Western, Driving, Jumping, Dressage, Trail class, behavior, and communication. >These are just some of the areas in which we have worked (so far). Without question or hesitation, I would recommend Kari to anyone who wants to do anything with horses!! My horse and I are so happy we found her!! Thank you!!! -Emily Hamilton & Ali Jasmine
